Macy's Glamorama celebrates fashion for a good cause

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. – Macy's extravagant Glamorama fashion show is back for another year, benefiting a great cause.

Jim Leighton, Vice President of Events and Corporate Partnership at Children's Cancer Research Fund, came by KARE Saturday to discuss the upcoming event. We were also joined by Megan Ebert, Macy's Mall of America Personal Shopping Manager, who shared fashion tips and trends on what people might wear to Glamorama.

Macy's Passport Presents Glamorama benefits Children's Cancer Research Fund, who recently partnered with Momcology, a non-profit support network for moms whose children are going through cancer.

The fashion show and musical production will take place at the State Theatre on Friday, August 1 with a performance by Jason Derulo. The show will be followed by an over-the-top after party at Macy's Downtown Minneapolis.

Tickets for the event range from $75 to $300. They can be purchased through the charity by calling 952-893-9355, through Ticketmaster or at www.macys.com/glamtickets.
