MINNEAPOLIS - Everyone has impressions of the mighty Mississippi River that flows through the Twin Cities. Now is your chance to share your vision for the future of this precious resource.
The first ever Mississippi Minute Film Festival sponsored by the Minneapolis Riverfront Project is soliciting your take on the river in just 60 seconds.
All you have to do is use a smart phone, camcorder, tablet or whatever an record what you think!
Awards and a premier of the winners to be announced October 20th at the Partnership's Riverfront Summit at the Mill City Museum. For the contest, the river has been divided into four categories:
- River Gorge: Ford Dam to Washington Ave Bridge
- Downtown Riverfront: Washington Ave Bridge to Plymouth Bridge
- River North: Plymouth Bridge to Lowry Bridge
- Upper Harbor: Lowry Bridge to City Border
Inform, energize and inspire our citizenry on how the river can enliven our city. Films will be judged by a panel of experts.
Entries are due by 5 p.m. on Sept. 4.
