Sheryl Crow draws crowds, donations to Holiday Train

COTTAGE GROVE, Minn. - Nearly 15,000 people turned out for a free concert featuring Sheryl Crow Saturday at the Holiday Train in Cottage Grove.

The Grammy award-winning musician entertained crowds who brought food and monetary donations for local food banks.

"My kids love trains and its nice and local so I thought I'd drag them out and have some fun," Crow said.

She said she it would like it to be an annual tradition to come down and check out the holiday train.

"Always been a train fan, and it kind of brings the holiday spirit together," Crow told the crowd.

In addition to the donations brought to the concert, Canadian Pacific pledged $125,000 to help feed hungry families.

If you missed the event, The Holiday Train will make a stop in Loretto on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
