UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. -- Minnesota singer Kat Perkins' run on "The Voice" came to an end during the Top 5 live elimination show.
After Perkins was named to the bottom three singers, it was up to the Twitter audience to determine who would move on to the Top 3 and the finale show by tweeting the name of their favorite singer. Perkins had been saved twice before in previous weeks by the Twitter Save but it was fellow Team Adam member, Christina Grimmie, who won the final social media vote. Country singer, Kristen Merlin, was also eliminated.
Jake Worthington of Team Blake and Josh Kaufman of Team Usher also moved on to the finals.
Perkins had been praised by the coaches for her wide vocal range and consistency throughout the show.
The finale of "The Voice" will air live on May 19 at 7 p.m. CT with the live results show airing May 20 at 7 p.m. CT.
