MINNEAPOLIS - For older adults, transitioning from a home to an assisted living facility can be painful.
As Minneapolis photographer Terry Gydesen watched her parents go through that process, she did what she does best -- turned the emotions into art.
Gydesen's photo exhibit, "Transitions: A daughter's journey" opened April 28 at the Mpls Photo Center second flood gallery. It will be on display until June 9.
The exhibit includes an installation of a living room, with Gydesen's father's old recliner, and a TV showing a film she made of different moments leading up to and through her father's passing.
