Minnesota Zoo wants you to 'Give To The Max'

The MN Zoo in Apple Valley is reminding people that this Thursday is 'Give to the Max' day, an opportunity to help the zoo carry out it's educational mission.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Thursday, Nov. 16 is “Give To The Max Day” and the Minnesota Zoo, in Apple Valley, wants everyone to do just that.

The non-profit relies on donations to help maintain the behind-the-scenes and after-hours care for the zoo animals. Charitable donations from $10 to $1,000 are greatly appreciated. Matching gifts are available.

Zoomobile naturalist Amanda Drews appeared on the KARE 11 News at 11 along with “Cleo”, the fennec fox, to stress the need. Every donation makes a difference.

The Minnesota Zoo is also giving the public a rare 24-hour look at what happens at the facility via its social media channels. “Like” the Minnesota Zoo on Facebook and follow the zoo on Twitter and Instagram to join the fun.

The public is also invited to attend a special happy hour Nov. 16 from 5-7 p.m. at Lake Monster Brewing in Saint Paul. Zoo staff and a few Zoomobile animals will be on hand.
