Children's MN has tips on protecting kids from the measles

Minnesota is currently experiencing the largest measles outbreak in 30 years. Patsy Stinchfield from the Children's Hospital talks about ways of prevention.

MINNEAPOLIS - The current measles outbreak in Minnesota is the largest is nearly 30 years, infecting mostly young children throughout the state.

Due to the disease being eliminated from the United States in 2000, though, many families don’t know how the disease is spread and just how serious it can be.

From helpful resources to special precautions at the hospitals, Children’s Minnesota has played a critical role in treating measles patients and working to prevent the spread of the disease in the state.
