Managing stress within LGBTQ community

Stress and anxiety can be a big issue for people within the GLBT community during Twin Cities Pride Fest. Dr. Deb Lindh, president of Mindful Effect, offers some advice.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. – June is Pride month, which is all about celebrating the LGBTQ community.

While the month is about celebrating the strides the gay community has made, there’s also the reality of internal trauma that members of the community have experienced growing up feeling “different”. Some people have even been shunned by their own friends and family.

Dr. Deb Lindh, President of Mindful Effect, stopped by the KARE 11 News at 4 to talk about how people who identify as LGBTQ can manage and heal internal stress and trauma they may be experiencing.
