MINNEAPOLIS--The Minnesota Zen Meditation Center is welcoming Norman Fischer, Zen Buddhist priest and former co-abbot of the world-renowned San Francisco Zen Center, to the Twin Cities for a business leadership workshop Friday, March 25, 2016. Fischer is one of the founding designers of Google’s wildly successful Search Inside Yourself program, developed to help people working in a corporate setting develop emotional intelligence based on mindfulness.
Tim Burkett, guiding teacher of the Minnesota Zen Meditation Center joined us on KARE11 News@4 today to share insights on the important role mindfulness plays in leadership. And he also talked about the upcoming March workshop with Norman Fischer.
Fischer will deliver to local business executives the same techniques of mindfulness and meditation that have enhanced the lives of busy professionals from Google University’s Search Inside Yourself.
This Minnesota Zen Meditation Center workshop is presented in partnership with Programs for Mindful Living, Medtronic, Hennepin County Medical Center, United Theological Seminary, Maslon LLP, CoCo Co-working and Collaborative Space, Enova Illumination and Atmosphere. Tickets for the daylong event begin at $125, and space is limited to the first 200 registrants. To sign up, please visit http://mnzencenter.org/events.php.
