'Colonel of Corn' shares tips on how to properly cook corn

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- A rare, hard-to-find variety of  delicious sweet corn will be available to corn-lovers in the greater Twin Cities area soon. It’s called Amaize, and it’s the product of four generations of work from the corn-breeding family at Idaho’s Crookham Company.

CEO George Crookham, the “Colonel of Corn," joined us on KARE11 News @ 4 to share some tips on how to shuck and cook corn to its full advantage.

The Colonel will be making appearances June 25, from 11-3 p.m. at the new Hy-Vee at 16150 Pilot Knob Road, where he’ll add to the store opening festivities by grilling the “Best Corn You’ll Ever Eat” and serving up samples.
