Twin Cities men recount canoe adventure in new book

Minnesota canoers recount their adventure in new book

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Nine years ago this May, people throughout Minnesota were captivated by the adventure two young men from Chaska embarked on following their early graduation from high school.

Sean Bloomfield and Colton Witte were in the beginning stages of a 2,200-mile canoe trip from Chaska to Hudson Bay in Canada. In honor of the successful trip's anniversary, a book about their adventure titled “Adventure North” was recently released.

This summer the men, who are now in their late 20s, are touring the state to talk about their book, and the lessons learned on their journey. They are also making good on a pledge they made to inspire others to seek their own adventures.
