2008 marks the 25th Year of Eleven Who Care
Over the years, Eleven Who Care has recognized the outstanding efforts of 264 community volunteers. The story of each recipient is both inspiring and amazing, and we are honored to tell their stories each year.
As we look back over the past 25 years, we are reminded of the commitments each recipient has made to their community and we wonder what they are up to today. If you are a previous winner or know a previous winner, we would love to hear an update. Please send us an e-mail to community@kare11.com.
We will honor the 25th Year of Eleven Who Care with a special 90 minute telecast on Wednesday, September 10. In addition to recognizing the efforts of 11 new recipients, we will also look back at the previous 25 years and the impact volunteerism has had on this community.
Eleven Who Care honors the contributions of grassroots volunteers and promotes the spirit of volunteerism in our community. The honorees are selected by the Board of Governors in May and recognized during the live telecast in September. Nominations are accepted from anywhere in the KARE 11 viewing area.
