MINNEAPOLIS -- Six Minnesota college students spent their summer organizing an event to support Somalia famine relief. You can join them on Sunday, October 16 at the Run to Unite.
Run to Unite is a 5K run/walk at the East River Flats/East River Parkway in Minneapolis. Registration will open at 9:30 a.m. and a finish line festival will take place at the conclusion of the race. The festival will include family activities and musical entertainment.
The event will bring neighbors together to support the American Refugee Committee's efforts in Somalia. American Refugee Committee is a Minnesota based organization.
The coordinators of Run to Unite were classmates at Southwest High School in Minneapolis. The project started when they decided to spend their summer doing something productive.
