MINNEAPOLIS -- Meals on Wheels will host the fifth annual "Blizzard Box Blitz" event on Oct. 25 & 26.
Each Blizzard Box contains two shelf-stable meals and will provide Meals on Wheels recipients with emergency food to use when winter weather prevents volunteers from delivering a regularly scheduled meal. The Blizzard Boxes also include information about emergency preparedness.
You can help sponsor a Blizzard Box! For as little as $10, you can sponsor the cost of 2 Blizzard Boxes for Meals on Wheels recipients in the Twin Cities. A simple gesture that serves 4 meals to a hungry senior in our community. Help achieve the $5,000 goal to support the Blizzard Box Blitz by October 31st.

Metro Meals on Wheels is the association of 40 Meals on Wheels programs located throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Along with its program partners, Metro leads the effort to ensure that individuals in our community receive nutritious meals and the human connection they need to enable them to live independently.
