MINNEAPOLIS - Habitat for Humanity relies on the help of thousands of volunteers each year to help them achieve their mission of building more stable communities.

They have several homes in progress around the Twin Cities and are in need of volunteers to help get them completed. Volunteers can sign up as individuals or groups, and no construction experience is necessary.

Here are some details about volunteering with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity:

  • Volunteers must be 16 years or older
  • Build days take place Tuesday - Saturday and go from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Supplies and equipment are provided; no experience is required
  • Each build site can accommodate up to 13 volunteers each day

Volunteer registration is available online. Volunteer orientation is available, but not required, for new volunteers

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity has other volunteer activities, aside from building projects. A list of other ways to get involved can be found on their website.
