MINNEAPOLIS - The Global Citizens Network believes that through cooperative effort, individuals of all cultures can enhance their ability to make a difference locally and globally.

They carry out their mission by sending teams of volunteers to communities in indigenous cultures throughout the world. Each volunteer team partners with a local grassroots organization active in meeting local needs. Global Citizens Network creates a worldwide network of people and organizations committed to addressing global issues.

Volunteer teams have worked with communities in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Canada and the United States. There are several volunteer trips planned for 2012, and volunteers are still needed.

Global Citizens Network will be hosting an anniversary celebration on April 14 in Minneapolis. The event will include dinner, entertainment and a market featuring products from many of the communities the organization has worked with around the world.
