Welcome to the Buddy Check 11 family!

Strong families are the backbone of our society. By becoming part of our Buddy Check 11 family, you're joining thousands of people who are taking charge of their breast health. Our family includes women and men, mothers, daughters, sisters, brothers, husbands, boyfriends, school friends, significant others, neighbors, and co-workers. All of us share the same goal --- to win the fight against breast cancer.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) reports breast cancer deaths dropped significantly from 1992 to 1998, likely due to earlier detection and improved treatments. Still, every day in Minnesota another eight women develop breast cancer. The good news? If the cancer is detected early enough, the survival rate can be as high as 95%.

Finding breast cancer in its early stages is what the Buddy Check 11 program is all about. Health Fair 11 and partners KARE 11 TV, UCare Minnesota and Cub Pharmacy have joined forces to make this program possible. It's a crusade we've led for two decades.
