Jicama salad and mezzanine cocktail recipes

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. – Specialty food shop Vom Fass is opening its second location at the Shoppes at Arbor lakes.

To celebrate the opening, owner George Mayaka stopped by to cook up a few recipes in the KARE backyard kitchen.

RECIPES

Jicama Salad

Ingredients:

Jicama

Arugula

Pepitos (pumpkin seeds)

Diced Fresno Pepper

Dressing:

1 part Vom Fass Chili Oil

1 part Vom Fass Olive Oil

1 part Vom Fass Mango Vinegar

Grilled Peach with Ice Cream

Grilled Peaches

Vanilla Ice Cream

Vom Fass Raspberry Star Vinegar

Mezzanine Cocktail

Few drops of Vom Fass Basil Oil – added to glass

In a shaker over ice:

1 part Vom Fass Aged Gin

1 part Grapefruit Sour (Simple sugar with Grapefruit zest)

Dash of Vom Fass Calamansi Vinegar

Strain and serve neat
