MINNEAPOLIS - September is a great month with (usually) ideal weather for you to replenish your lawn before winter sets in. The temperatures are perfect for growing new grass and usually the precipitation is just enough.
Bobby recommends core aeration in the fall and thinks that is works great to break up heavy soils and regenerate the lawn as the cores break down.
The University of Minnesota Extension Service has many informational sheets about lawn care that are really useful.
Good Luck with your lawn!
