MINNEAPOLIS -- Bobby and I never like to push the seasons, or deck the halls too early. But, the fact is that the soils in our containers and window boxes will freeze up in a few weeks and you really need to think about creating a transition between your fall decor to holiday decor.
Mary Beth Gullickson is a designer and teaches for the Minnesota State Horiticultural Society. She met us and talked through some great ideas of how to harvest things from your yard and use them to decorate your containers. Many things need to be trimmed anyway so it works out well to pick a few that will look great in your pots.
She loves to use pussy willow, cardinal red dogwood, hydrangeas, sedum, grasses, and really any other seed head that you you like.
There are some great classes coming up including....
