Grow with KARE: Making spirits bright at the Arboretum

CHASKA, Minn. - Looking for some holiday fun this weekend or during the winter break? Check out all of the happenings at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.

The Great Hall of Storybook Trees is amazing with five 18-foot trees decked out in the theme of popular storybooks. A Grinch-inspired holiday gingerbread display, photos with Santa and a kids-only holiday shop are also featured at the Arboretum.

The Arbor Bells bell ringing group will provide live music on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and the Holiday Heralds of the Minnesota Chorale will perform two 30-minute shows Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

On Sunday, the Waconia High School Select Chamber Choir will perform from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., and again from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Kids under 15 are free at the Arboretum and every Thursday admission is free.

KARE 11 Day at the Arboretum is Saturday, January 7, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mention KARE 11 and get free admission to the Arboretum.
