You probably have picked out your tree already and have it decorated in your living room.  But are you watering it enough.  Fresh trees use up to one quart of water per inch of trunk diameter daily.  If the stand goes dry, water uptake will stop and your tree will dry up rapidly.  The most important thing to remember is to make that fresh cut of 1"-2" within an hour of getting it into water.
