Welcome to Junk Masters! This is the show where we take all kinds of junk most people throw away and turn it into one-of-a-kind furniture and accessories for your home. We believe there's a use for just about everything and we hate the thought of throwing something away. So, instead of tossing it -- we find a way to fix it or turn it into something else. Our projects are low-cost (sometimes free!!) and easy to do -- so come on and try it!

"Framed Up" Vintage Slides

Barb's great idea for reusing old slides!
Materials: slides
construction paper
copied photos
pictures cut from magazines
glue
pinch pliers (if needed)
Total Cost: Under $10.00 for several framed slides

Step by Step instructions:
1. remove original slide from metal frame (save metal part)

2. cut piece of construction paper to fit metal part of frame (this will be the matte for your picture)

3. cut your picture a little smaller than your "matte"

4. put picture and matte back into metal frame

5. take second metal frame and attach to first frame to form a stand

6. that's the project... you can also substitute pictures you cut from magazines instead of a photo
