St. Patrick's Day and Frozen Faceoff highlight weekend fun in St. Paul

There's no shortage of fun in St. Paul this weekend.

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Between St. Patrick's Day celebrations and the NCHC Frozen Faceoff, St. Paul is the place to be this weekend.

Here are just a few of the fun events happening:

NCHC Frozen Faceoff

For the first time, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference's championship weekend is in St. Paul. On Friday, North Dakota takes on St. Cloud State while Minnesota Duluth plays Denver. You can buy tickets and get more information here.

St. Patrick's Day Celebrations

St. Paul is one of the best places in the country to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. The day begins with the St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown St. Paul starting at noon on Saturday. The fun continues with the 37th Annual Irish Celebration, and of course many Irish bars and restaurants will have specials. Metro Transit is free and Lyft is offering discounted rides.

Frozen Faceoff Craft Brew Hop

St. Paul has some awesome craft breweries, and you can try a handful of them during the Frozen Faceoff Craft Brew Hop. The event involves a bus tour of the breweries with tours and tastings at each location. Pick up and drop off is at the Xcel Energy Center. Learn more about the event and how to get tickets here.

Minefaire

Calling all Minecraft fanatics! Minefaire, the Ultimate Minecraft Fan Experience, will be in St. Paul Saturday and Sunday. Players and their families can meet YouTube creators, compete in tournaments and take part in a costume contest. Register for the event here.
