Welcome to Minneapolis!
If it's your first time, or if you're just not used to the hustle and bustle of the city, here's a few tips to help you navigate downtown:
- Parking
- There will be more than 65,000 parking spots available during the Super Bowl. That includes several ramps to choose from, plus metered on-street parking. Fans will be able to pre-purchase a parking spot in a ramp for Super Bowl events, but those details have not yet been released. Find them here, eventually.
- There are also 8,000 metered spaces with varying rates -- find your metered areas here. Hourly rates are typically between $1 to $2. Some are enforced until 10 p.m., others until 6 p.m. Be sure to check posted signs as event parking could change hours. If you need to pay or extend your parking meter, you can download the Minneapolis Parking App on your phone.
- If you're a downtown Minneapolis commuter -- check with your current ramp operator to make sure your contract parking spot is available during the 10-day Super Bowl event.

- Uber is the "official" Super Bowl rideshare partner so there will be plenty picking up and dropping off during the 10-day event. Download their app here.
- Taxi companies will also be in high demand. There are several for downtown Minneapolis, including Airport Cab (612-871-8888), Red & White (612-871-1600), Yellow Cab (612-644-6569), Blue and White (612-333-3333) and Green and White (612-522-2222).
- Metro Transit Buses or Light Rail: Don't want to deal with parking? Take the bus. There's even multi-ride passes available just for Super Bowl events. The unlimited fan pass is $40 and includes unlimited rides from Jan. 26 to Feb. 5 on all buses, trains (even Northstar) except for the light rail service from Mall of America or Stadium Village on game day. - Metro Transit Park and Ride: Coming from out of town? Drive your vehicle to a park and ride and let them take care of the rest. Super Bowl service runs roughly every 30 minutes beginning at 9:30 a.m. from suburban locations. The last bus leaves downtown at 10 p.m. (This is only for Jan. 27, Jan. 28 and Feb. 3). The cost is $2.50 each way (exact change only), unless you have an all-day or unlimited pass. More info.
- Skyways
- A skyway system comprised of more than 11 miles of pathways throughout the city -- above ground -- is a great way to navigate downtown without braving the harsh winter elements. Click here for our skyway guide.
