MINNEAPOLIS - Vikings quarterbacks are on the move.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Sam Bradford intends to sign with the Arizona Cardinals once free agency begins on Wednesday. The deal is reportedly for one year at $20 million.
Minnesota traded with the Eagles for Bradford after Teddy Bridgewater went down with a knee injury in 2016.
Speaking of Bridgewater, it appears he may be close to a deal with the New York Jets. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said the deal is being finalized but others may be swirling.
When healthy, Bradford was solid for the Vikings, throwing for 3,877 yards and 20 touchdowns in his first season with the purple and gold. He was 27 of 32 passes for 346 yards, three touchdowns, and no picks against the Saints in Week 1 of last season before a knee injury sidelined him for nearly the entire season, giving way to the rise of Case Keenum.
Keenum, meantime, is about to become the Denver Broncos’ new quarterback.
The Broncos and Keenum will have a short-term deal in place when free agency opens at 2 p.m. Wednesday, a source confirmed to KARE sister station, 9NEWS.
Denver will mark Keenum’s fifth city in five years: His home team was Houston in 2014, St. Louis in 2015, Los Angeles in 2016, Minnesota in 2017 and now Denver in 2018. The Vikings decided not to apply the franchise tag to Keenum back in February, allowing him to become a free agent.
With Keenum and Bradford on the move, it appears all but a certainty that free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins will land in Minnesota. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted that Cousins and his agent will meet with the Vikings for dinner Wednesday night, and then visit the team's new Eagan facility Thursday.
Schefter tweeted that the deal will be fully guaranteed, but had no dollar amounts on the contract. Earlier he had tweeted that the figures the two sides were exchanging were in the area of $28 million per season.

Rumors swirling about a possible move for Drew Brees came to a swift end Tuesday. After reports surfaced that the veteran QB received a call from the Vikings Monday afternoon, it appears the Brees-Saints deal is finally done. Per multiple reports, Brees has agreed to a two-year, $50 million deal to remain with the team he's played for since 2006.
