MINNEAPOLIS - It sounds as if the Minnesota Vikings have found their backup quarterback.
Minnesota is finalizing a trade deal with the Broncos for Trevor Siemian, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The deal is apparently for a late-round pick.
Siemian played college football at Northwestern and was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He has 25 career NFL starts.
The Titans, Chiefs, Raiders, Chargers and Texans were also in the market for a backup.
