Still waiting for Red Gerard's medal ceremony?

You're not the only one. Viewers were sticking around during NBC's coverage of the Olympics in PyeongChang to see Gerard take the podium and bite into the U.S.' first gold medal of the games. Gerard won the men's slopestyle on Saturday night.

Sorry, but things are a little different during the Winter Olympics. Unlike the Summer Olympics, which does most of the medal ceremonies almost immediately after the event concludes, the Winter Games moves its to a ceremony inside.

That ceremony takes place at the Medal Plaza in PyeongChang. The ceremony takes place at 7 p.m. local time, or 5 a.m. ET. You can watch the ceremony live on the Olympic Channel or NBCOlympics.com.

It's likely NBC will replay Gerard's ceremony and others during the games the following night in primetime.

But if you're waiting up to hear the anthem and get that tear in your eye after watching the U.S. win gold, you may be disappointed and should just go on to bed.
