Lynx draft Gopher guard Carlie Wagner

MINNEAPOLIS - University of Minnesota guard and Minnesota native Carlie Wagner was selected with the 36th pick in the 2019 WNBA Draft by none other than the Minnesota Lynx.

Wagner averaged 18.7 ppg her senior season and ranks third on Minnesota’s all-time career scoring list and second in three-pointers made.

The Lynx also acquired the draft rights to forward Jill Barta, the 32nd selection in this year’s draft and a 2019 WNBA Draft second-round pick from the Las Vegas Aces, in exchange for the draft rights to center Ji-Su Park, the No. 17 overall pick in this year’s draft, and guard Kahlia Lawrence, the No. 24 overall selection.
