17-year-old fatally shot in Mpls. ID'd

MINNEAPOLIS - A 17-year-old who was fatally shot in Minneapolis on Sunday has been identified.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner says Gregory Lawrence Robinson of Mounds View died on Monday morning as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest sustained the day before.

Minneapolis police officers responded to the shooting on the 2400 block of 10th Avenue South just before 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.

When officers arrived, they located 17-year-old Robinson on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. He was brought to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment, where he died from his injuries at 11 a.m. Monday.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner says the death was a homicide.
