The Berry Patch is nestled on 24 acres near Forest Lake, Minnesota.
In less than 30 minutes, all of this season’s crops: strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, were destroyed from Sunday’s hail storm.
“We had golf ball sized hail," said Kevin Edberg of The Berry Patch.
The crops were ready to be picked this week, but instead partners of the patch will be having conversations about potentially rehabilitating the plants, and whether they have the money and passion to replant.
“Do we have the will, interest and energy?” pondered Edberg.
He says there is one thing to be thankful for, and that’s the safety of the people affiliated with the patch.
"The human beings associated with the organization are well," Edberg said.
