After an award-winning career in New York and overseas, Allen Costantini joined KARE 11 in 1984. He has won national and regional awards, including seven Emmys, and was named "Best Local Reporter" by City Pages.
From 1999-2006, Allen was the Scholarships Chair of the Board of Governors of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences/Upper Midwest Chapter. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from State University of New York in Buffalo, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1969-1971. Allen is also currently in charge of the KARE 11 News internship program.

Family: Allen and his wife Peggy have one son, Todd, who is an honors graduate of Indiana University and the University of Minnesota Medical School. Daughter-in-law Carrie (formerly Johnson Waller)is an honors graduate of Bradley University and the University of Minnesota Medical School.
