Ampitheater proposed for Mpls. riverfront

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minneapolis could soon get a new riverfront amphitheater.

The city says it received a plan from the owner of First Avenue and other local developers to transform a barge shipping terminal in north Minneapolis into a riverfront parkland.

The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal is reporting they're proposing an amphitheater that could hold 15,000 to 20,000 people and host music and performing arts festivals.

The official plan isn't expected to be revealed until Nov. 3. For more information, click here.
