VILLAGE OF MILLTOWN, Wisc. - Polk County authorities say they are investigating a possible homicide in the Village of Milltown.

At 1:21 Saturday morning, the Polk County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about a person who had been seriously injured at an apartment in the 100 block of Main Street East.

Upon arrival, authorities found a deceased adult female. The initial investigation indicates she may have been the victim of a homicide.

A male "person of interest" was taken into custody on initial charges of violating bond, but charges related to the suspicious death are expected to be added. Authorities say the male appears to be the only suspect involved in the incident. His name is not being released pending further investigation.

The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of next of kin.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is being assisted in this case by the Milltown and Luck Police Departments and the Polk County Medical Examiner's Office.
