MINNETONKA, Minn. - One person is dead after a crash involving an emergency vehicle in Minnetonka Tuesday night.
The State Patrol says it happened around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Excelsior Boulevard and Woodland Drive.
Investigators say a police car had its lights and sirens activated and was moving through the intersection when it struck a BMW 325 convertible.
The driver of that car, a 52-year-old Sean Kian from Minnetonka, was not wearing a seatbelt. He died on the scene.
The 28-year-old driver of the police cruiser is recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
