APPLE VALLEY, Minn. - Two people were injured during a fast-burning fire that devastated an Apple Valley condo complex Friday morning.
Crews were called to the complex at 14839 Endicott Way around 8:15 a.m., and immediately found flames leaping from two of the three floors.
The blaze quickly went to four alarms when fire also jumped to the third floor of the 16-unit building, and additional crews were called in from adjoining communities.
A firefighter was injured when a ceiling inside the building partially collapsed. That firefighter was taken to Fairview Ridges Hospital with what authorities are calling non-life threatening injures.
The adult male resident who lived in the condo where the fire starteed was also transported to the hospital with burns and smoke inhalation. There is no word tonight on his condition.
Apple Valley's Fire Chief says eight of the buildings 16 units suffered significant damage. Right now investigators are still looking for a cause.
