GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - "Drink Like You Care" is not just a slogan for Minnesota-based Finnegans Irish Amber. It's a notable, first-of-its-kind community give-back program where 100 percent of the profits will go back into charitable groups.
Jacquie Berglund, CEO and "Rambunctious Social Entrepreneur" of Finnegans, joined KARE 11 News @4 to share more about this unique program.
According to Finnegans:
- In the last 10 years, they've been able to give more than $275,000 to local charities.
- In each market where Finnegans is sold - Minn., N.D., S.D. and Wis. - they donate the profits from that state to a non-profit food partner.
- In Minnesota, Finnegans supports the Emergency Foodshelf Network's Harvest for the Hungry program, connecting farmers to food shelves to provide fresh food access to those who can't afford it.
- This year, during November and December, the goal is to raise $40,000, which equates to more than 80,000 pounds of food!
