MINNEAPOLIS - A multi-car pileup on westbound Interstate 94 near the Lowry Tunnel has backed up Wednesday morning rush hour traffic for miles.
Reports from the scene say as many as 10 vehicles may be involved in the incident. As of 7 a.m. traffic had backed up well past Groveland on Interstate 394, stretching into St. Louis Park and Golden Valley.
State Patrol spokesman Lieutenant Eric Roeske reported on Twitter that there were no injuries.
A small army of tow trucks will be required to clear the scene, meaning that it will be a brutal commute for thousands trying to get to work downtown and in the east metro.
