MINNEAPOLIS - Officials say the car that fell through the ice on Cedar Lake was reported stolen, and dive team members found no one in or around the car when they searched the water.

Authorities say they received a call around 3:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon that a car had gone through the ice on Cedar Lake.

Emergency officials responded to the scene and found that the car had intentionally veered off of an access road near the lake that is used only for emergency vehicles. The car went through trees and about 100 feet onto the lake before falling through the ice.

The Hennepin County Dive Team searched the water where the car was resting but found no victims in or around the car.
