SAINT PAUL, Minn. -- Terry Morrow announced Wednesday that he is leaving his seat in January to take a job with the Chicago-based Uniform Law Commission.
In a statement, Morrow says he is proud of what he has accomplished in the past six years, but is excited about this new opportunity.
"I will take the lessons I have learned in Minnesota about sound policy and public service and apply them across our nation and overseas," Morrow said.
Morrow was a key backer of the new Vikings Stadium legislation.
Governor Mark Dayton will set up a special election in Morrow's district.
