Snowboarding legend Shaun White shed his famous red mane of hair in a video he posted online.

And it was all for a good cause, as the two-time Olympic gold medalist donated his ponytail to "Locks of Love."

White seemed nervous about making the leap to shorter hair, but told the viewers, "somebody needs it more than I do."

The hair will be used to make hairpieces for children battling serious illnesses.
