MANKATO, Minn. - The former football coach at Minnesota State University, Mankato is reassigned to a new position after using a university-issued cell phone for personal use.
University officials released a statement on Friday night saying that Todd Hoffner will serve as the university's Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities Development.
Hoffner was accused of child pornography in August, after school officials found naked videos of his children on his work-issued cellphone. Those charges were dismissed.
Aaron Keen remains acting head football coach for the Mavericks.
Minnesota State Mankato will be making additional decisions regarding the head football coach position in the coming weeks, officials said.
In his new role, Hoffner will be responsible for assisting in the development of the Master Facility Plan for Athletics and Recreation Facilities, which is part of the Minnesota State Mankato's Campus Facility Master Plan.
Minnesota State Mankato will be evaluating possible upgrades or replacement of Blakeslee Stadium.
Hoffner's new assignment takes effect immediately.
