MINNEAPOLIS - A man who was found stabbed in South Minneapolis on Saturday has died of his injuries.

According to Sgt. Stephen McCarty with the Minneapolis Police Department, officers responded to an apartment building in the 5700 block of 33rd Avenue South around 5:30 p.m. on the report of a stabbing. When medical personnel arrived on scene, they found an adult male and transported him to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Several hours later, the man succombed to his injuries. There are currently no suspects in custody, however, McCarty says preliminary information suggests there is no risk to the general public.
