ST. PAUL, Minn. - It is no secret that there is not a lot of love lost between the Minnesota Vikings and their border rivals, the Green Bay Packers. While the players might be careful not to add more fuel to the fire before this weekend's wild card playoff game at Lambeau Field, fans are not too shy.

Take Dave Sinykin, for example. The Milwaukee native has been busy on Twitter and Facebook. He's also been active on KFAN radio, where he hosts a weekly Packer show and appears regularly to chat football with the weekday guys.

"For the Vikings, their last four wins have all come indoors, now they're facing the elements," Sinykin, who goes by the moniker "Head Cheese ", warned KARE 11. He also writes a popular blog with the latest news that he posts for Packer fans stuck in Vikings country. "You know what it feels like? It feels like being the bad guy in WWE (pro wrestling), who goes into the ring and the whole arena's against you," he said with a chuckle.

We also had to ask Sinykin about the green and gold fan base, which some call the most fervent in the country. "Annoying? I don't know that I'd call them annoying, I'd say passionate," he said. The age old argument comparing Super Bowl trophies is pretty hard to beat according to the cheese-wearing contingency.

The 'Head Cheese' admits his 9 year old son Jackson is a passionate, purple-clad Viking supporter, but he's also quick to note that most offices in the Twin Cities metro have a handful of 'Packer Backers' (the KARE 11 newsroom among them). They may have gotten an earful in January of 2005; the only time the Vikes and Pack squared off in a playoff game. The Vikings won that wildcard contest at Lambeau Field by a 31-17 margin.

This time around, Sinykin predicts, things will end differently. "I'm confident. You can save the tape and you can look at it Monday if you want, but it feels like 31 to 10 (Packer victory) to me," he said.
