HASTINGS, Minn. - Police in Hastings are asking for public help finding a woman who has been missing for 3 weeks after walking out of a metro hospital.
Nikole Renee Sherry, age 24, was last seen December 17 leaving Regions Hospital, where she was receiving mental health services. She left the hospital against medical advice.
In the weeks since, family members and police have checked all locations where Nikole had contacts without success in locating her. Nikole is known to maintain regular contact with her
family, but has not talked with any family or friends since leaving the hospital.
Police say Nikole left the hospital wearing a red sweatshirt, powder blue pajama bottoms, and black shoes or sandals. She had no money or identification with her. She is described as a Native American/White female, 5 foot 6 inches height, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. On her right arm, Nikole has a tattoo of a crown with the name "Lamika" below it.
"We have exhausted all leads in our attempts to locate Ms. Sherry," said Hastings Police Chief Paul Schnell. "Ms. Sherry's level of vulnerability and the extended time since her
last contact with family members makes bringing her status to public attention necessary," he added.
While Nikole Sherry is a resident of Hastings, she was last seen in St. Paul and so St. Paul police are assisting in the investigation.
Anyone with information as to the possible whereabouts of Nikole Renee Sherry is asked to call the Hastings Police Department at 651-322-2323, or Saint Paul Police at
