Police chase ends in Target parking lot

SHAKOPEE, Minn. -- A man is in custody after he allegedly robbed a store at gunpoint and led police on a high-speed chase ending in a Target parking lot.

Police say the 47-year-old man held up a Famous Footwear in Shakopee, and got away with an undisclosed amount of money from the register and safe.

Police later located the suspect's vehicle and tried to stop him.  The suspect fled and led police from Savage, Prior Lake and Scott County on a chase with speeds reaching up to 95 miles per hour.

The chase ended in a Target parking lot in Savage.  After a lengthy standoff, the suspect got out of his vehicle and police arrested him.

The Shakopee Police Department is currently investigating the case.
