ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Professional snowboarder Dan Brisse, a 2002 Rocori High School graduate, is competing in the 2013 X Games later this month and participating in an online contest to promote the games.

He is one of eight professionals from around the world who display their urban snowboarding skills in video at xgames.com/realsnow. The one with the most votes receives $10,000. Brisse said if he wins he will donate the entire amount to a memorial fund benefiting the family of slain Cold Spring-Richmond police officer Tom Decker.

The first round of voting ends Monday; two subsequent rounds come in the following weeks. Voting ends Jan. 27, the final day of the three-day X Games event in Aspen, Colo. The winner will be announced on ESPN.

Brisse, who is originally from Richmond, has worked as a professional snowboarder more than four years. He was the gold medal winner at the last two X Games competitions.
