ELY, Minn. -- Internet sensation 'Lily the Black Bear' gave birth to two cubs Saturday morning.
One cub was born at 12:59 a.m. and the other at 1:22 p.m.
Senior biologist Dr. Lynn Rogers says "Lily was restless Friday evening, then surprised us by giving birth a week early than she has previously. We're thrilled to hear the sounds of healthy cubs."
Thousands of people around the world have been watching Lily after a camera was installed in her den so researchers can monitor her hibernation.
Lily rose to fame three years ago when researchers used a webcam to allow viewers to watch the first live birth of a wild black bear cub.
