ST. PAUL, Minn. - Bob Seger and Kid Rock share Detroit roots, a close friendship, and at least one other thing:

The like to rock hard.

Twin Cities residents will soon be privy to that last fact when the pair teams up for one of just two shows featuring Rock and Seger on the same bill.

The first show is scheduled for Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul on Friday, March 15 at 8 p.m. The second will take place in Fargo March 16.

Tickets for the Saint Paul show go on sale at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office. Fans can also buy through Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, charge them by phone at 800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Both Bob Seger and Kid Rock fan club members will have early access to tickets. Visit www.bobseger.com and www.kidrock.com for more info.

Seger and Kid Rock, born Bob Ritchie, go back a long way. The two became friends shortly after they met in 2000. Rock inducted Seger into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and appeared on Seger's 2006 "Face The Promise" album for a duet of Vince Gill's "Real Mean Bottle."

Seger returned the favor, appearing on Kid Rock's "Born Free" album playing piano on his duet with Sheryl Crow, "Collide." Seger and his Silver Bullet Band often rehearse at Rock's rehearsal warehouse.

Both also share an interest in classic cars and both have stayed true to their Michigan roots.
