MAPLE GROVE, Minn. - The hockey coach at Maple Grove Senior High School who was put on paid administrative leave pending a district investigation has now been reinstated.

Barbara Olson, the Community Relations Director for the Osseo School District, says the school district put Gary Stefano on administrative leave on Friday morning for undisclosed reasons.

However, Olson said the investigation involving Coach Stefano was different than the investigation that led to the suspensions of 13 hockey players from Stefano's team.

Olson says the district completed their investigation involving Stefano on Friday evening and he has been reinstated as head coach of the hockey team.

In a statement, Olson wrote, "Over the course of Mr. Stefano's leadership with Maple Grove Senior High hockey during the past 17 years, he has developed a strong hockey program and made significant contributions to our school community. We look forward to continued success for the program."
